1

A trader submits an order for 10 lots at a specific price.

2

The LP or liquidity pool has only 6 lots available at that price.

3

The broker fills 6 lots immediately and leaves 4 lots unfilled (or places them in queue).

4

The trader receives a partial fill report showing 6/10 lots executed.

5

The remaining 4 lots may be filled at the next available price, held, or canceled depending on broker policy.
